Albright College is seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to collaborate with faculty in developing high-quality online Canvas courses. This role is vital in maintaining consistency and quality across online offerings to enhance learning outcomes, student success, retention, and program completion. The full-time, on-campus LMS Administrator will review existing courses and approve new online courses, working closely with faculty as subject matter experts and pedagogical guides. The position also involves managing the institution's digital learning environment, ensuring Canvas operates efficiently, and supporting faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, the LMS Administrator, who specializes in Canvas, will teach up to four courses annually within the Education Department.
Educational Background: Master’s degree in Education Technology or a related field from an accredited university (terminal degree preferred).
Experience: Proven experience as an LMS Administrator or similar role, specifically managing Canvas or comparable platforms. Minimum of three years of PK-12 teaching experience in U.S. schools. Experience supervising pre-service teachers or working in higher education is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong technical skills with LMS platforms such as Canvas, familiarity with computer technology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with capacity to train and support users effectively.
Instructional Design Knowledge: Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
