Job summary

Southwest Airlines, through its Southwest University, is seeking a Content Developer to design and deliver engaging learning solutions. You will transform complex operations into training that supports performance, safety, and friendly service across Ground Operations and Customer Accessibility teams.

Collaborate with SMEs, develop storyboards, and use tools like Articulate 360 Rise and Storyline within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Intermediate level experience in learning and development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications preferred.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360 Rise/Storyline preferred.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools for content creation preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops effective and engaging learning content using industry-leading development tools.
• Creates and maintains learning materials for specific customers, including online learning, classroom, job aids, simulations, and performance support.
• Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to gather requirements and ensure content accuracy.
• Plans and estimates project timelines before starting work.
• Builds relationships with internal and external Southwest University Customers to understand audience needs.
• Manages multiple projects to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Provides support and fosters collaboration among team members for successful delivery.
• Develops learning content in an agile environment and adapts to change.
• Conducts quality assurance and testing to ensure content meets standards.
• Designs assessments and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness.
• Creates storyboards, prototypes, and mockups to visualize learning experiences.
