Job summary

Southwest Airways in Indianapolis is seeking a Flight Operations trainer to design and expand training programs for online, facilitator-led, and hybrid formats.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or GED, deep knowledge of curriculum design, and the ability to collaborate with the AQP office and Flight Ops to meet deadlines. You will lead content creation, apply instructional design principles, and support performance improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Understanding instructional design and education outcomes.

• Ability to coach and develop enterprise leadership.

Responsibilities

• Observe educational design theories, exercises, and strategies.
• Lead the design of training files, storyboards, and liaise with the AQP office for curriculum design, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Create training content based on improvement goals and delivery methods.
• Act as consultant for instructional design principles on product teams.
• Enforce regulatory compliance for training programs and expand training applications.
• Establish timelines with Flight Ops management and communicate deadlines.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by leadership.
