Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an instructional design professional to analyze learning needs and develop instructor-led, computer-based, and web-based training aligned with business objectives. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain training materials, collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to validate content and ensure learning objectives are achieved.

Job description

• Analyze learning needs and develop instructor-led, computer-based, and web-based training solutions aligned with business objectives and training requirements
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain training materials according to instructional design and development standards
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate content
• Ensure learning objectives are achieved
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, project activities, and training development milestones
• Use instructional technologies, eLearning platforms, and learning development tools to create learning experiences
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to learning programs and materials
• Apply independent judgment and problem-solving to develop solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Regularly collaborate with internal stakeholders, instructors, and subject matter experts

Requirements

• Related university degree and 2 years’ experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience
• Previous directly related experience in learning and development, instructional design, training development, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly evaluate information, respond to questions, and develop effective solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience applying InfoMapping principles and tools preferred
• Experience developing computer-based training (CBT) and web-based training (WBT) preferred
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning development platforms preferred
• Experience supporting large-scale learning initiatives or corporate training programs preferred
• Ability to perform stated physical requirements, including lifting objects up to 20 pounds
• Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
