Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design and develop curriculum for Customer Experience Operations and Supply Chain Operations, create new hire training and ongoing development content, and serve as the SME for instructional design, e-learning, and learning technologies.

You will manage SMEs and stakeholders, develop content using a range of tools, analyze training effectiveness, and drive end-to-end instructional design processes with a focus on measurable business

Qualifications

• Design portfolio required; include a link to your design portfolio on your resume.
• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 4-year degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of previous experience in instructional design and e-learning development or related functional experience.
• Prioritization and planning skills with demonstrated success delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Proven success building rapport with business partners at multiple levels on larger teams.

• Propose cost-effective, maintainable learning solutions using ISD, tech and adult learning theory.
• Establish learning goals and objectives and design curriculum using ISD methodology.
• Manage end-to-end instructional design process.
• Develop training videos, games, job aids, posters, manuals, and e-learning deliverables.
• Conduct virtual and instructor-led train-the-trainer sessions.
• Partner with delivery team to transition final materials into program implementation.
• Drive projects, manage milestones, and ensure team accountability.
• Manage content, enroll or assign learning objects, and run LMS reports.

• Create new hire training and existing employee development content
• Serve as the department subject matter expert for instructional design, e-learning, and learning technologies
• Manage subject matter expert and stakeholder relationships to understand business, audience, and content needs
• Develop content using various learning technology tools and resources
• Analyze, build, develop, and maintain new hire training programs
• Perform business and performance analysis to determine training objectives, goals, learner characteristics, and skill gaps
• Propose cost-effective, maintainable, visually compelling learning solutions using instructional system design, technology, and adult learning theory
• Establish learning goals and objectives and design effective curriculum using instructional design methodology
• Manage the end-to-end instructional design process
• Develop training videos, games, job aids, posters, manuals, and e-learning deliverables
• Conduct virtual and instructor-led train-the-trainer sessions
• Partner with the delivery team to transition final materials into program implementation
• Drive projects, manage milestones, and ensure team accountability
• Manage content, enroll or assign learning objects, and run reports using the LMS
• Design course-level assessments and analyze their effectiveness
• Compile and analyze evaluation dashboards assessing readiness, job impact, and business impact
• Perform other training responsibilities defined by leadership and the organization

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience
• 4-year degree in related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of previous experience in instructional design and e-Learning development or related functional experience
• Prioritization and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
• Proven success establishing rapport with business partners at multiple levels, working on larger teams, and using collaborative work habits
• Ability to design and develop engaging and interactive training using a variety of modalities and methods
• Advanced Microsoft Office application skills
• Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise360
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading/editing
• Proficiency with multimedia and e-learning tools such as HeyGen, PowerPoint, Vyond, Camtasia, Articulate Pro, and Storyline
• Experience utilizing AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Articulate AI, Synthesia, Vyond AI, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, and DALL·E
• Graphic design and audio/video editing experience
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems; Cornerstone OnDemand preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the US; sponsorship is not available
