Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Design Intern to join the Learning & Engagement team in a remote-capable role. You will assist in designing engaging learning materials across e-learning, ILT, job aids, and visuals while working with subject matter experts.

You will gain hands-on experience in instructional design, graphic development, and LMS content management, contributing to brand-aligned, accessible training resources in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, graphic design, communications, or a related field.
• Interest in learning and development or employee experience preferred.
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and/or e-learning tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design and development of learning materials across formats, including e-learning, instructor-led training, job aids, and visual content.
• Collaborates with instructional designers and SMEs to support learning solution development and content updates.
• Creates and edits graphics, layouts, and visual elements to enhance the learner experience and ensure brand consistency.
• Supports the development and maintenance of content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Applies instructional design principles and adult learning concepts to assigned projects.
