Job summary

Conduent in South Bend, IN is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist – Trainer to design and deliver effective training for Indiana public assistance programs, applying adult learning principles and instructional design to improve employee readiness.

You will facilitate classroom sessions, assess learner needs, track progress, and collaborate with state partners to ensure consistent learning outcomes, coaching learners and providing constructive feedback in a professional, inclusive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ experience in Indiana Eligibility Programs (SNAP, TANF, Medicaid).
• Experience using IEDSS, navigating system functions and case workflows to support learner understanding.
• Experience with Indiana Public Assistance Programs (SNAP, Medicaid, TANF) policy and guidelines including IEDSS online help.

Responsibilities

• Apply adult learning theories and instructional design to support learner engagement.
• Facilitate discussions in structured and unstructured learning environments.
• Adapt delivery methods based on audience needs and feedback.
• Collaborate with team members, leadership, state partners, and project staff to support learning goals.
• Analyze learning effectiveness and implement solutions while maintaining standards.
• Document learner status and progress with trackers.
• Coordinate across state tasks and engage employees across project areas for consistent communication.
• Coach learners and provide performance feedback in a professional environment.
