The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Training Officer to design, develop, and deliver training curricula for City employees, supervisors, and managers, using in-person and virtual formats to reach diverse audiences. The role requires coordinating with leaders to maintain course materials, evaluate programs, and drive accessible learning across the organization.

A BA and two years of training experience are required, with substitutions available for advanced degrees or related

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of verifiable experience designing, organizing, and conducting employee training programs.
• Substitution: Master of Arts degree may substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Substitution: Verifiable experience in teaching adults and developing lesson plans may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualification requirement by the final filing date.

Responsabilidades

• Determining training needs, developing and delivering course content, evaluating training effectiveness, and maintaining curriculum and materials to ensure alignment with current laws, rules, and regulations.
• Designs learning programs and materials, maintains and updates training resources, and coordinates ongoing development activities by collaborating with presenters and partners.
• Facilitating training across multiple modalities by delivering presentations, mentoring participants, and ensuring equitable and accessible learning environments.
• Maintaining and improving training materials through ongoing review, research, collaboration, and quality-control of content, assessments, and related processes.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs by assessing learning outcomes, tracking participation, gathering and analyzing feedback, and preparing required reports.
• Participating in the logistical aspects of training programs by scheduling and reserving training spaces, preparing materials, overseeing technology setup, and ensuring compliance with organizational processes.
• Engaging with stakeholders by collaborating with leadership, departmental partners, and L&OD Manager to share updates and align with organizational goals.
• Participating in Train-the-Trainer programs by working with colleagues and ensuring trainers deliver high-quality learning experiences.
