Job summary

City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Training Officer (1232) in Learning & Organizational Development within the Human Services Agency. The role focuses on designing curricula, delivering both in-person and virtual training, and mentoring city employees and supervisors to support organizational goals.

Under the direction of the LOD Manager, you will evaluate training effectiveness, coordinate logistics, and engage with stakeholders to ensure equitable, high-quality learning experiences

Qualifications

• Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of verifiable experience designing, organizing, and conducting employee training programs.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience or substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Determine training needs and develop/maintain training curricula aligned with laws and regulations.
• Design learning programs and update resources with presenters and partners.
• Deliver training across in-person and virtual modalities and mentor participants.
• Maintain and improve training materials through review, collaboration, and quality control.
• Evaluate training programs by analyzing outcomes, feedback, and reports.
• Schedule and reserve training spaces, prepare materials, and manage tech setup.
• Engage stakeholders by collaborating with leaders and department partners to align with goals.
• Participate in Train-the-Trainer programs and support trainers for consistency.
