Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies in Brookfield, Wisconsin, is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to execute learning initiatives that support organizational priorities and team growth. Partner with leadership to translate strategies into scalable programs and experiences.

The role oversees program development, facilitation, project management, and administration, building and delivering trainings, managing logistics, and ensuring a seamless learner experience across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in Learning & Development
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience administering and maintaining an LMS
• Strong presentation, teaching, and coaching skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong administrative and project management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Resourceful problem solver with proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges
• Customer service mindset with a passion for supporting team member development
• Candidates must be willing to obtain facilitator certifications through various external programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage learning programs aligned with established learning strategies and organizational priorities
• Adapt, customize, and deploy both internally and externally developed learning content, resources, and programs to meet organizational needs
• Partner with learning vendors, facilitators, and content providers to coordinate successful program delivery
• Support the rollout and scaling of company-wide learning initiatives across multiple audiences and locations
• Ensure learning materials, resources, and participant tools are current, accessible, and effectively integrated into learning experiences.
• Identify opportunities to enhance learner engagement and improve the effectiveness of existing programs.
• Facilitate instructor-led learning experiences using internally and externally developed content
• Support external facilitators before, during, and after learning events by managing logistics, technology, materials, participant communications, and learner engagement to ensure a high-quality learning experience
• Deliver engaging presentations and learning experiences that encourage participation, knowledge retention, and application
• Serve as the primary administrator for the LMS and other learning technologies, ensuring accurate course administration, learner assignments, reporting, certifications, and learning records
• Manage and maintain learning catalogs, learning paths, compliance requirements, and system content
• Coordinate LMS updates, enhancements, testing, and ongoing optimization to improve the learner experience in collaboration with the HRIS team
• Monitor system utilization, learner activity, completion data, and program effectiveness metrics
• Manage the day-to-day execution of learning initiatives, including scheduling, communications, logistics, participant registration, and reporting
• Coordinate with external training providers, consultants, facilitators, and content partners to ensure successful implementation of learning programs
• Manage project timelines, action plans, and deliverables across multiple learning initiatives simultaneously
• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure quality, consistency, and positive learner outcomes.
