Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College’s Learning Commons seeks a Student Worker to perform general clerical and customer service duties on the Main Campus at 1845 Loop Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42101. The position is on-site, pays $14.00 per hour, up to 20 hours per week, with anticipated employment January 2026 through May 2026, subject to dependability and confidentiality.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
Credential-seeking in SKYCTC program of study
Maintains a GPA of 2.0 or higher and satisfactory academic progress
Enrolled in 6 or more program-applicable credit hours
Unmet need in the financial aid budget for federal work-study
Consent to state and national pre-employment background checks as required by Kentucky law

Responsibilities

Clerical and receptionist duties with customer service role answering questions in person and on the phone
Assist with maintaining the Learning Commons space, including desk coverage and stocking office supplies
Refer to tutors and librarians as needed
Assist with basic library collection management, including check-in/check-out, shelving, inventory, and recording statistics
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Other duties as assigned
