Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Library Science from an accredited program (Master's preferred).
• Ability to provide individual research assistance and instruction in person, online, or on the fly.
• Experience with automated library systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in database searching and information retrieval.
• Working knowledge of new and emerging technologies in higher education.
• Official transcript required.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
• Criminal background/fingerprint check may apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach information literacy across environments and formats.
• Participate in student and faculty orientations.
• Assist in integrating library research into courses and online platforms.
• Provide reference answers and conduct reference interviews.
• Maintain a reference desk and assist patrons on campus and online.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Design/update guides to aid database navigation and citation formats.
• Supervise and train work-study students in the library.
• Lead special projects promoting library resources and services.
• Plan and support library programs and outreach.
• Pursue professional development and stay current in the field.
• Maintain Reference and Circulation areas and related procedures.
