Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited program.
• Copy of transcript conferring required degree and certification(s) must accompany application.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference services to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
• Instruct users in the use of library resources in all formats, including online databases and Internet resources.
• Develop and manage collection development in assigned areas; liaise with faculty and make recommendations for purchases and licenses.
• Develop, organize, and present library instruction for students, faculty, and staff.
• Create digital instructional materials such as tutorials and guides for online and classroom use.
• Teach one or more sections of the 1-hour LBRA course when needed.
• Promote library awareness and usage across the campus.
• Assist with the library’s Web 2.0 presence and use of social networks as instructional tools.
• Collaborate with campus personnel to foster positive working relationships.
