Job summary

The Learning Collaborative Tutor (TLC) at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (JHSON) helps promote student success through learner-centered tutoring and writing support, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. Tutors collaborate with students to guide their own learning and problem-solving processes.

The role is in-person/online (85% tutoring) with some training/administrative tasks (15%). It requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred, with potential for weekend/evening hours

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree; Additional education may substitute for experience.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in English (or equivalent); doctoral-writing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and/or writing support for JHSON students.
• Attend orientation and training; maintain appointment/progress records.
• Work on-site and online; possible weekends/evenings; participate in professional development.
