Job summary

St. Louis Community College is seeking tutors to provide individual and small group sessions across disciplines, facilitating student mastery by applying course concepts and integrating effective study and learning strategies.

In this role you may act as an academic coach or mentor to help students become independent learners, assist with the use of institutional technology, contribute to tutor training, and support flexible scheduling including evenings in a shared, interactive learning

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with 6-9 credit hours and at least a 3.0 GPA in the tutoring discipline.
• Ability to work flexible hours and evenings as needed. Hours may vary.

• Integrates effective study and learning strategies to maximize student potential for academic progress.
• May assist students with the use of institutional and instructional technology.
• Assists with the development and delivery of tutor training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

• Associate’s Degree with 6-9 credit hours and at least a 3.0 GPA in the desired or a closely related tutoring discipline, and at least one (1) year relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and evenings as needed. Hours may vary.
