Job summary

Desert Sands Public Charter School is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator to serve as an administrator in the absence of the principal, overseeing school programs and coordinating with staff to ensure effective delivery of services across multiple sites, including Lake L.A. and Palmdale.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a focus on student support, enrichment programs, and compliance with school policies; travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting.
• Bachelor's degree required; Teaching Credential or PPS credential preferred.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse school staff and the public.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
• MS Office and SIS software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership in assessing center needs and planning objectives.
• Coordinate on-site student support and enrichment services.
• Supervise staff and coordinate professional development opportunities.
• Communicate with staff, families, and community partners for safety and success.
• Ensure adherence to federal/state laws and district policies.
• Coordinate data collection for evaluation and planning purposes.
• Oversee SST processes and coordinate with AP and teachers.
