Job summary

Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with experience with students or parents and familiarity with education programs. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to travel if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
• Experience with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent.
• Experience in church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar experience.
• Or be a high school student 18 years of age or older with qualifying credits.
• Must include education/training courses in Instructional Practices or Practicum in Education and Training (130.164/130.165).

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher or Coordinator in all areas of work.
• Implement instructional program and lesson plans under supervision.
• Assist with understanding assessments.
• Check daily goals to ensure work is completed.
• Motivate students for maximum learning.
• Participate in faculty meetings and teacher training.
• Inspire students to build self-esteem and promote success.
• Praise and encourage students to build character.
• Facilitate activities promoting English speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Perform special projects during/after hours; other duties as assigned.
