Job summary

Desert Sands Public Charter School in Southern California is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator to serve as an administrator in the absence of the Principal. This role collaborates with staff to design, deliver, and maintain school programs, reporting to the Principal.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating on-site student support, supervising personnel and volunteers, coordinating SST and SPSA/WASC processes, and arranging staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Clear California Teaching Credential with English Language Authorization OR California Pupil Personnel Services credential required.
• Experience in project management, program development, coordinating and building teams preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff in planning and evaluating learning center needs and long- and short-range plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate on-site student support and enrichment services.
• Assist in supervision and professional development of personnel, volunteers, and community partners.
• Coordinate communications, community relations, and safety with operations staff.
• Support state testing administration and SST/504/IDEA processes.
• Attend conferences and coordinate after-school programs and training as needed.
