Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED.
• Experience with students or parents approved by the employing superintendent.
• Experience in church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar experience;
• Be a high school student 18 years of age or older; and
• Have a final grade of 70 or better in two or more education and training courses (130.164/130.165) verified in writing by the district superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher or Coordinator in all areas of work.
• Implement instructional program and lesson plans under supervisor.
• Assist with understanding assessments.
• Assist teachers in checking daily goals to ensure work is completed.
• Motivate students for maximum learning.
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings and teacher training workshops.
• Inspire students to build self-esteem and promote success.
• Praise and encourage students to develop character.
• Facilitate activities that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
