In return for your creativity and drive, you’ll gain the freedom to shape the future of training at PGD, while making a measurable impact on both employee performance and customer satisfaction.

What you will do:
  • Creates and produces training content, from idea phase to execution

  • Facilitates instructor-led trainings and train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Partner with leadership, HRBP’s, field trainers and other counterparts to adopt best practices and tailor programs for our workforce.
  • Develop engaging training materials including manuals, e-learning, hands-on workshops, videos, and assessments.
  • Obsess over the new employee experience by implementing a consistent onboarding program that blends classroom instruction, field shadowing, and technology-enabled learning.
  • Establish training metrics and reporting dashboards to track effectiveness, technician readiness, and program ROI.
  • Continuously refine programs based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.
  • Stay current on learning trends, instructional design methods, and industry-specific certifications or compliance requirements.
What you should bring:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Instructional Design (field service or skilled trades industry a plus).
  • Proven success designing and implementing training programs that improved performance or reduced time to competency.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methods.
  • Comfort with training technology (LMS platforms, video tools, mobile learning apps).
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable program improvements.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of small and large audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to travel across West Coast up to 30% of the time
Everyone you work with should describe you as:
  • Initiative Taker – Empowers themselves, brings solutions, has a bias for action and is highly accountable
  • Collaborative – Works well with others, solicits feedback, and has a positive upbeat personality who focuses on opportunities rather than obstacles
  • Analytical – Uses the right data to help inform and make decisions; applies critical thinking both strategically and tactically; is a wiz with Excel.
  • Gets Dirty – The ability to be comfortable with a high-volume workload, ambiguity, changing priorities and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
  • Effective Communicator - Has exceptional communication skills, both in composing thoughtful written communication and sharing complex information verbally
  • Humble – Lacks ego, shares credit and defines success collectively with a curious mind for learning
And you should be motived by:
  • Learning how to do something well by doing it, not be reading a manual or going to formal training
  • Working in a lean, results-oriented environment, where you’ll be expected to do more, take on more, and achieve more every year
  • Having fun in a start-up-y type environment high on transparency, open to new approaches and without a ton of structure
  • If you prefer highly defined processes, slower decision-making environments, or incremental change, this role will likely not be a fit
