Job description

LHH is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator for a short-term contract opportunity supporting an organization with ongoing employee learning and development initiatives. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role ideal for someone who can quickly step into an existing environment, understand established priorities, and turn direction into tangible deliverables.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects, researching learning solutions, coordinating development initiatives, and keeping projects moving forward. While exposure to learning and talent development strategy is valuable, this position is primarily focused on execution, coordination, and project support rather than building an overarching L&D strategy or designing programs from the ground up.

Details
  • Type: Contract
  • Start: ASAP
  • Schedule: Flexible, approximately 20–30 hours per week
  • Location: Remote, with availability during Eastern Time business hours
  • Duration: ASAP through December
  • Pay: $35–$60 per hour, based on experience
What You’ll Do
  • Support the execution and coordination of existing learning, training, and employee development initiatives.
  • Take established priorities and direction and turn them into actionable tasks and completed deliverables.
  • Support manager and leadership development initiatives, including researching training resources, programs, and development tools.
  • Research external learning programs, training vendors, consulting partners, and other development resources.
  • Review vendor offerings, proposals, and costs and organize findings to support decision‑making.
  • Research and evaluate employee and leadership assessment tools such as DiSC, CliftonStrengths, Hogan, MBTI, Predictive Index, or similar platforms.
  • Coordinate workshops, learning sessions, leadership development programs, and other training initiatives.
  • Create, update, organize, and refine learning materials, presentations, guides, resources, and other program materials.
  • Review existing employee feedback and learning resources to identify practical opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications with external learning and development partners and vendors.
  • Manage project timelines, materials, communications, follow‑up activities, and other administrative details across multiple initiatives.
  • Partner closely with HR stakeholders to keep projects on track and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Training, HR, Talent Management, or a related area preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting and coordinating employee learning, training, or professional development initiatives.
  • Experience supporting manager training and leadership development programs is preferred.
  • Ability to take established direction and independently move projects and assignments through completion.
  • Experience researching external training providers, vendors, learning resources, or development tools.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools such as DiSC, CliftonStrengths, Hogan, MBTI, Predictive Index, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment.
  • Previous experience supporting a nonprofit, association, or similarly structured organization is a plus.
