Job summary

Industrial Metal Supply, a leading metal service center, seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead warehouse floor personnel, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on staffing, training, and optimizing operations to meet production and distribution goals.

You will coach teams, monitor performance, and collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to enhance throughput and adhere to company standards. 5+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Exercising independent judgement and decision making based on standard policy or working procedures.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement methodology and lean tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and mentor team members for excellent performance.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations and assign staffing as needed.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with GMP and lean practices.
• Optimize equipment and manpower utilization to maximize productivity.
• Maintain safe work environment through audits and inspections.
• Monitor safety policies and enforce them consistently.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to improve layout and workflow.
• Maintain production planning to meet distribution targets.
• Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
