Job summary

Environmental Solutions Group - Marathon Equipment in Vernon, AL is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead and optimize a value stream, drive lean initiatives, and ensure safe, cost-effective production. You will partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while coaching supervisors and building a high-performing team.

Experience in heavy manufacturing and Lean/Six Sigma is highly valued; travel is limited to less than 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Value Stream Management, Kaizen, 5S.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the assigned value stream, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve operational performance through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and CI initiatives.
• Drive a culture focused on workplace safety and environmental compliance by ensuring adherence to policy and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to remove barriers and improve performance.
• Manage production planning and resource allocation to meet customer demand and objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members to build a high-performing workforce.
• Ensure product quality through corrective actions and continuous quality improvement.
