Job summary

Wabtec seeks a seasoned Lean Operations professional to drive the site’s lean transformation at the Las Vegas facility. You will coach leaders and frontline teams, embed the Wabtec Management System, and build lean capabilities across the organization.

You will facilitate kaizen events, Daily Management, and value stream mapping while partnering with plant leadership to deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost, with travel about 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years leading lean transformation in manufacturing.
• Proven track record driving organizational change and developing lean leadership.
• Deep understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and TPS.
• Experience implementing pull systems, flow, kanban and other lean practices.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop leaders through hands-on engagement.
• Experience facilitating kaizen events, Daily Management systems and structured problem-solving.
• Strong project/program management with measurable results.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and gain stakeholder buy-in in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop plant leaders to strengthen lean leadership capabilities and execution of CI initiatives.
• Lead implementation and sustainability of the Wabtec Management System and lean disciplines.
• Facilitate Daily Management, kaizen events, A3 problem-solving and value stream mapping workshops.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive CI strategies focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.
• Coach on standard work, visual management, flow, pull systems and waste elimination.
• Monitor performance and support achievement of production, efficiency, and business objectives.
• Build organizational capability through training, mentoring and hands-on application of lean tools.
• Lead and support strategic initiatives assigned by Group Lean Leader and Operations.
