Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Lean Leader to drive the lean transformation at our Maxton, NC facility. You will install standards, develop lean capabilities, and support leadership to sustain improvements across the value stream.

You will coach teams on Lean methodologies, lead strategic Lean initiatives, and help build a culture of accountability and operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of Lean leadership in manufacturing.
• Deep TPS knowledge and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor teams.
• Strong program management and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.
• Experience leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean team and plant leadership to strengthen Lean expertise and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and execute the site's Lean strategy to improve cycle time, delivery, quality, and performance.
• Implement and sustain Lean principles, daily management, and standard work across operations.
• Coach leaders on Lean tools such as Hoshin Kanri, Kaizen, A3, and value stream mapping.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the WMS with accountability and excellence.
• Build organizational capability through rapid improvement cycles to accelerate change.
• Deliver strategic Lean initiatives aligned with Group Lean Leadership objectives.
