Job summary

Owens Corning Foundation is seeking a Focused Improvement Coordinator as an hourly role reporting to the Technical Leader. You will support TPM-driven FI initiatives to sustain improvements in plant operations and engage employees in continuous improvement.

You will coordinate FI activities, lead Kaizen events, train staff on FI tools, update metrics and project statuses, and collaborate with TPM pillar teams to ensure sustained benefits and practical, data‑driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Bachelor's or Associate degree.
• Green Belt Six Sigma preferred.
• Industrial environment experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Drug and alcohol free.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Focused Improvement efforts.
• Act as SME for Lean Principles & TPM Methodologies.
• Train & coach facility staff on FI tools & methods.
• Lead FI Teams/Kaizen events to improve or eliminate problems.
• Update metrics, reports, and project statuses.
• Support FI methodologies and TPM pillar teams.
• Facilitate FI meetings: root cause, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
• Provide training sessions and coach on TPM tools.
• Attend trainings to improve skills.
• Apply analytical tools to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop event charters and coordinate logistics.
• Follow up on action items to implement opportunities.
• Collaborate with other facilities and regional supports.
• Use data metrics to determine opportunities.
• Audit completed projects for sustainment.
• Submit safety/equipment notifications into SAP or designated systems.
• Participate in layered process audits and provide feedback.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain communications with TPM locations to share best practices.
• Establish and meet personal goals supporting TPM/plant goals.
