Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to implement and coordinate the site CI initiative. You will lead the Continuous Improvement Team, drive Lean activities, and identify waste, collaborating with cross-functional staff to improve performance.

Responsibilities include facilitating VSM/Kaizen, standardizing improvements, coaching employees, and reporting progress. The role requires 1–3 years in lean environments and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• 1–3 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kanban, standardized workflow, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and visual environment/factory.

Responsibilities

• Establish and build the plant's Continuous Improvement Team.
• Coordinate Lean initiatives with the CI Team.
• Identify waste and opportunities for improvement in operations.
• Facilitate VSM and Kaizen activities.
• Develop, prioritize, and implement solutions to reduce waste and improve performance.
• Document and standardize improvements.
• Teach, coach, and mentor all levels of employees in CI and manufacturing principles.
• Train employees to identify and eliminate waste.
• Develop programs to foster employee involvement in CI culture.
• Attend seminars and share knowledge with plant staff.
• Prepare regular and special reports as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
