Job summary

Ardagh Group in Fremont, Ohio seeks a Quality Supervisor responsible for directing cross-functional improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean to improve plant efficiency, reduce spoilage, and drive customer audit outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, change management, and leadership to mentor teams and ensure ISO/quality program compliance, with travel to customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing quality or management experience.
• Progressive experience in manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in improvement practices such as Six Sigma and lean tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in Value Stream analysis, DMAIC projects, and rapid improvement events.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional departments and employees.
• Identify, document, and baseline core processes, establish metrics, control plans, and reporting mechanisms with end-to-end focus.
• Work with department managers to assess weaknesses and develop future state processes using Six Sigma and lean tools.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, plan and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Formulate goals and plans for short- and long-term success, such as spoilage reduction and cost savings.
• Apply best practices for introducing, driving, and sustaining change initiatives.
• Provide ongoing project status updates to Plant Manager and leadership team.
