Job summary

AbbVie in Tempe, AZ is seeking a results-driven Lean Six Sigma/Business Excellence professional to identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and cycle times, and to lead cross-functional projects to deliver savings.

You will coach sponsors and Kaizen leaders, develop project plans, manage stakeholders, and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget, while expanding organizational capability through mentoring and training.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years business experience, minimum of 1-year LSS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred disciplines: Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management.
• Accredited LSS Green Belt or Kaizen Leader Certification required; PMP preferred.
• Financial acumen and ability to assess project return on investment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates analysis of opportunities and risks, and identifies impacts and recommendations to the business or manufacturing site.
• Demonstrates leadership in setting and aligning project direction while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.
• Ability to effectively execute (Logistics Software Systems) LSS project management process, tools and templates.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement efforts to meet service, quality and cost objectives.
• Support and motivate teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Provide training and coaching to sponsors and Kaizen leaders, if needed.
