Job summary

AbbVie in Chicago seeks an experienced project leader to drive complex supply chain improvement programs from strategy to results. You will lead governance, define value propositions, and coordinate across functions to deliver measurable improvements.

You will coach teams in Lean Six Sigma, build training programs, and collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing and SCM to broaden improvement adoption throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Science, Engineering, Economics or Business Management.
• APICS certification, desired but not required.
• 8 years’ experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management and/ or Financial Management.
• Hands-on experience applying lean manufacturing, 6-Sigma, and advanced planning and control methods.
• Proven capability to manage and implement change management programs.
• Practical knowledge and experience in functioning as a Project Lead and/or Project Team member with proven accomplishments.
• Capable of leading and coaching a multidisciplinary team from all levels and functions of the organization.
• Strong cross functional collaboration with Finance, Manufacturing and within Supply Chain.
• Practical knowledge of SAP/JDA and/or other similar systems.
• Solid communication skills required as well as excellent Supply Chain management skills/understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, setting priorities and ensure efficient project management and use of resources.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Define value proposition and create portfolio of services; improve processes and systems.
• Identify applicable practices and be a change agent within the organization to implement adoption.
• Develop, maintain and administer training/education programs on continuous improvement and related topics (Lean Six Sigma, kaizen).
• Coach Supply Chain Planning towards achieving its vision of becoming supply chain professionals.
