Abbott in Sturgis, MI is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to lead strategic process improvement projects within the Nutrition division. You will apply DMAIC methods to drive cost savings, throughput, and quality improvements across production lines.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with site leadership, and ensure alignment with regulatory compliance while delivering measurable results and sustaining gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or closely related field.
• Must possess Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and completed projects.
• Working technical knowledge in engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional DMAIC projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities aligned with site strategy.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Coordinate improvements with stakeholders to maximize value.
• Develop and maintain methods and governance for project metrics.
• Recruit experts and develop skills within Operational Excellence.
• Apply Lean tools to optimize workflows and improve OEE.
• Lead Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops.
• Provide stakeholder management and PMO updates.
