Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Denison, Texas, seeks a Project Engineer to support plant cost-out initiatives and productivity improvements; you will solve problems, execute objectives, and advance short- and some long-term business goals for the Denison operation.

The role collaborates with production leaders, uses Lean and Six Sigma tools, leads Kaizen events, and helps institutionalize quality with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians. Travel up to 5% domestically/internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with statistics/data analysis training.
• Up to two years of related work experience.
• Experience in stamping, casting or injection molding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes productivity projects involving process, tool and part redesign.
• Applies Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve production efficiencies while reducing operating cost.
• Serves as a change agent in institutionalizing quality with Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians.
• Continuously seeks, shares, and implements best practices.
