Job summary

AbbVie in Maryland is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence professional to identify cost-saving opportunities, lead cross-functional Lean Six Sigma projects, and mentor sponsors and Kaizen leaders.

You will develop project plans within budget and schedule, coordinate with key stakeholders across functions, track milestones, and apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve service, quality and cost performance across manufacturing sites, while training teams to sustain gains.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Operational Excellence roles.
• Bachelor's degree; preferred disciplines: Sciences, Engineering, Operations, or Business.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus.
• Strong financial acumen to assess ROI.
• Strong written and oral communication, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Executes data-driven analysis of opportunities and risks, quantifies impacts.
• Leads project direction while managing stakeholder expectations.
• Uses Lean Six Sigma tools to drive improvement projects.
• Identifies and drives continuous improvement for service, quality and cost.
• Supports and motivates teams for timely project delivery.
• Trains and coaches sponsors and Kaizen leaders when needed.
