Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months to one year related shipping/receiving experience preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
• LEAN Principles experience such as Kanban, consignment, demand flow is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Strong math skills; ability to read safety and operation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deploying the Policies and Procedures as directed by the Materials Manager.
• Perform shipping & receiving duties using LEAN Principles to support continuous flow.
• Track and report key KPIs as directed by the Materials Manager.
• Unpack incoming shipments, record shortages, and coordinate with purchasing to rectify issues.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain inventory of materials as directed.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move shipments to designated areas.
