Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume lean manufacturing team. You will monitor daily operations, drive safety, quality, cost and output, and partner with department leaders to meet plant goals.

Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and continuous improvement, with strong communication and leadership to maintain TAKT, 5S and overall plant performance.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience in lean manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Effective communication skills in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall team performance focusing on safety, quality, cost, time and output.
• Supervise material usage to maintain smooth production flow.
• Support plant programs and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with department leaders across Operations, Quality, HR, Finance, Materials, Engineering and Continuous Improvement.
• Communicate goals and plant-wide initiatives with leadership and staff.
• Engage in training, development and positive employee relations.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
