Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Tech in Grand Rapids, MI to coordinate production process methods and engineering activities for new product launches and continuous improvements.

You will develop manufacturing plans, implement processes to improve quality and efficiency, and support Lean initiatives while mentoring others and ensuring safety regulations are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with CAD processes and Lean philosophy.
• Proficient with computer systems (Email, Internet, Word, MRP).
• Able to assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and manufacturing processes for new product introductions.
• Coordinate capital planning, CERs, and capital project timing.
• Ensure equipment meets OSHA safety regulations.
• Mentor and train teams; lead PFMEA and APQP reviews.
• Apply Lean tools to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
• Create manufacturing process routings and maintain standards.
