Job summary

Dotson is seeking a Production Supervisor for Stockton to lead a shift of manufacturing staff. You will ensure safe, efficient production that meets quality and delivery standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include coordinating operators, inspectors, and fabricators; monitoring schedules; applying Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S; and partnering with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues and improve workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production employees on the assigned shift.
• Monitor workflow and production schedules to meet targets for efficiency and quality.
• Notify maintenance or engineering when equipment requires repair or preventive maintenance.
• Track and report key production metrics (output, downtime, efficiency, quality).
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues quickly.
• Ensure staffing, materials, and inventory meet production demand.
• Train and evaluate staff on standard work and productivity standards.
• Enforce safety rules and HR policies; address discipline as needed.
• Apply Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma to remove waste and improve processes.
• Perform Kaizen events and value stream mapping to sustain improvements.
