Job summary

Dotson seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee workers operating production machinery, ensure output meets schedules and quality goals, and coordinate workflow. You will train staff, monitor safety and 5S, and liaise with maintenance and engineering for equipment issues. Documentation and adherence to policies are essential for this role.

The position requires leadership, planning, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program and 5+ years of experience.
• Lead and direct the work of other employees.
• May provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a subordinate group.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control or package goods for shipment.
• Notify maintenance or engineering departments when equipment requires maintenance or repair.
• Monitor output of assigned area(s) against established schedules or quality goals.
• Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
