Job summary

nVent is seeking a production supervisor in Fulton, MO to lead daily manufacturing activities, train and mentor staff, and ensure on-time delivery while driving Lean improvements. You will manage payroll hours, support new process development, and uphold safety standards in a busy plant environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, Lean manufacturing skills, and proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience such as G.E.D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred
• Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees, including training, directing, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
• Review payroll hours on a weekly basis and manage exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties as needed.
