Job summary

ABB Inc. in the United States (Fort Smith, AR) seeks an experienced supervisory professional to coordinate production planning and execution, manage equipment and personnel, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role reports to the Production Manager and emphasizes teamwork, cost efficiency, and meeting/delivering against order demand while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
• Preferred Experience Includes: Supervisory experience working in a manufacturing environment - Lean 6 Sigma and/or PMP Certifications - Shopfloor Display - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint - SAP, Workday, Kronos.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: Ensure production schedules and plans meet demand volume requirements and inventory service levels.
• Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement: Identify deficiencies in production areas and oversee improvements to productivity and quality.
• Leadership & Team Development: Maintain employee confidence, facilitate training, and foster a professional environment within the Columbus, MS Management Team.
• Safety, Quality & Issue Resolution: Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and quality standards and drive problem-solving initiatives.
