Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our Exits manufacturing operations in New Haven, CT. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while delivering products on time and within cost targets.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing, strong Kaizen/Lean experience, and a track record of solving complex production challenges through structured problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or operations field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
• Structured problem-solving including root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of quality systems and performance metrics.
• Ability to manage schedules and deliver on-time results.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Plan and execute production schedules to ensure on-time customer commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement with Kaizen events and Lean practices.
• Provide operational and technical leadership for Exits processes.
• Resolve production issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Optimize workflows, equipment use, and process documentation.
• Lead powder coating and polishing operations, ensuring quality and safety.
• Develop and coach production staff to enhance performance and engagement.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across operations.
