Job summary

Sargent Manufacturing, a market leader in commercial door hardware, seeks a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at the New Haven site. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while guiding continuous improvement across Exits processes.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong mentoring of teams, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading Kaizen events and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Proven problem-solving with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and performance metrics.
• Experience managing production schedules for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead all production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Manage production scheduling and execution to ensure on-time customer commitments.
• Champion continuous improvement through Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
• Act as operational/technical leader for Exits manufacturing processes.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize equipment effectiveness and workflows to reduce waste.
• Provide oversight for powder coating and polishing operations.
