Job summary

Morgan Truck Body, part of the J.B. Poindexter & Co. family, seeks a CI Engineer to champion Lean improvements across Corsicana, TX and Ehrenberg, AZ. You’ll lead Kaizen events, develop SOPs and 5S standards, and drive measurable cost savings with site leadership and corporate partners.

You will mentor teams, track KPIs, and deliver training on Lean tools while advancing operational excellence across manufacturing plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years manufacturing Lean experience.
• 3+ years continuous improvement with financial savings and ROI analysis.
• Formal Lean training and application of 5S, poka-yoke, PDCA, value stream mapping.
• Strong analytical skills and ROI evaluation.
• Experience supporting supply chain & SIOP initiatives.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement with site leadership.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives aligned to KPIs using Lean tools.
• Develop SOPs, Standard Work, and 5S to standardize processes.
• Design and track KPIs, Kaizen activity, and cost savings.
• Provide Lean training and enablement to teams.
• Lead Kaizen events and validate financial impact.
• Foster cross-plant collaboration and mentorship.
• Prepare regular progress updates and reports.
