Job summary

CHT USA in Cassopolis, MI is seeking a Process Engineer to design, develop, and maintain safe, sustainable processes that optimize flow and capacity using LEAN and Six Sigma. The engineer will drive improvements from concept through validation.

Responsibilities include managing capital projects, complying with PSM and regulations, and coordinating with R&D, safety, quality, and production teams to improve safety and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of process engineering with a project management focus.
• 1–3 years of experience in chemical blending (emulsion or silicone).
• Experience with PSM programs and safe storage/handling of highly hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects with R&D and production teams.
• Coordinate safety, quality, regulatory, and production colleagues.
• Scale up new products and plan cost-effective production processes.
• Plan and conduct product and process improvement experiments.
• Oversee maintenance coordination to support business strategy.
• Provide training during startups and changes related to improvements.
• Oversee outside contractors and capital projects as needed.
• Manage project documentation and asset capitalization.
