Job summary

CHT USA is seeking a Process Engineer in Richmond, VA to design, develop, and maintain safe, sustainable processes. You will optimize flow, improve reliability, and support capital projects using LEAN and Six Sigma principles.

The role requires collaboration with R&D, safety, and production teams, plus experience with PSM and hazardous materials. Travel may be involved, and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance guides daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of process engineering with a project management focus.
• 1–3 years of experience in chemical blending (emulsion or silicone preferred).
• Experience with PSM programs and handling highly hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects with R&D and production teams.
• Coordinate safety, quality, regulatory, and production colleagues to ensure safety and sustainability.
• Scale up existing products and plan cost-effective production processes.
• Plan and conduct product and process improvement experiments.
• Oversee outside contractors and capital projects per plan.
• Support SOP creation, implementation, and asset management.
