Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group is seeking a Process Engineer to drive safety, quality, and productivity on the production floor. The role emphasizes standard work, LEAN implementation, and continuous improvement across the plant, with accountability for process reliability and equipment performance.

The engineer acts as a technical partner to management, leading problem-solving efforts, applying process technology, and contributing to capital projects while ensuring customer specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited program (Chemical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering).
• Six months or more PLC, mechanical, and/or electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
• Understanding process variance and the resultant effects on quality; knowledge of applied statistics.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous improvement safety walks.
• Lead the facility in partnership with shift supervisors to resolve safety issues.
• Execute scheduled PHAs and JSAs; monitor area for safety improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard work; drive lean culture and process optimization.
• Improve productivity and equipment efficiency through engineering controls and problem-solving.
