Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role acts as an extension of management, focusing on safety, product quality, process control, lean culture, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

The engineer develops and maintains systems to ensure products meet customer specs, drives productivity, leads standard work, oversees maintenance planning, and supports capital projects while collaborating with operations and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Controls Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Six months or more of PLC, Mechanical, and/or Electrical troubleshooting experience and/or training.
• Packaging experience or automation equipment preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous improvement safety walks.
• Assume a leadership position at the facility in partnership with the shift supervisors.
• Execute on scheduled PHA's and JSA's.
• Proactively monitor area and remediate potential safety issues.
• LEAN Culture and standard work development.
• Develop and execute 'standard work' activities.
• Improve productivity by eliminating non-value-added activities.
• Maximize equipment efficiency and product quality.
• Assist in training operators on quality-critical parameters.
