Job summary

Watson is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and improve production processes at The Orchard in Poulsbo, WA. You will use lean methods to drive waste reduction and throughput gains across CNC routing, sheet metal, welding, and finishing.

You will build work instructions, tooling, and CNC programs, collaborate with Value Stream Managers and floor teams, and support new product introductions with manufacturability input.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or 2+ years manufacturing/process engineering experience.
• Fluency with lean tools applied on the floor.
• Familiarity with CAD and ERP systems.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and drive long-term fixes.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean principles on the shop floor to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Develop work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and CNC programs for safe, efficient production.
• Analyze workflow, equipment placement, and space to improve flow and capacity.
• Coach operators to solve problems and lead kaizen events.
• Collaborate with Product Development on manufacturability and new product introductions.
