Job summary

Hormann Northwest Door LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and operations on-site in Puyallup, WA. The role partners with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to boost safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and cost while emphasizing Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field related to manufacturing is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Collaborate with Production and other departments to identify and resolve issues.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction and workflow improvements.
• Analyze production data, cycle times, capacity, and process performance to identify gains.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, routings, and manufacturing standards.
• Support new product introductions and new or modified process implementations.
• Evaluate equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes for improvements.
• Support production trials, installations, and process validations.
