Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient production in a corrugated container facility. You will guide shift teams, drive KPIs, and coach staff towards continuous improvement, while coordinating with stakeholders across functions.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, quality, and productivity. You will also mentor team members, participate in lean initiatives, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
• 3+ years of converting supervisory experience in a packaging facility required.
• Experience in Lean environments; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
• Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Strong communication and listening skills; problem-solving ability.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to coach and train employees; shift-based troubleshooting.
• Self-directed team player with flexibility to work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefs and enforce safety policies on designated shifts.
• Monitor KPIs and plant scorecard to meet daily production goals.
• Plan workforce schedules and manage attendance per policies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production needs.
• Supervise daily production activities and evaluate performance.
• Participate in Daily Management Systems to track progress against goals.
